Formerly Conjoined Twins Heading To Kindergarten after Graduating Pre-School

A set of twins who were formerly conjoined are heading to kindergarten after graduating pre-school.

Four years ago, Carter and Conner Mirabal captured the world’s attention after they were born conjoined at the torso.

As per reports, the boys were born facing each other and sharing a liver and intestinal tract with part of their stomach not completely closed. The doctors had to cover the exposed area with plastic sheeting.

At 5-months-old, the twins underwent life-changing 12-hour surgery to separate them. They spent most of the first year of their lives in hospital undergoing treatments.

The Mirabal family has continuously updated friends, family, and people worldwide on the well being of the twins.

In August 2019, the boys started their first day of school, something that previously seemed impossible.

The Mirabal family shared on Facebook: “Our babies started school today.”

“Carter was sad. Conner didn’t cry at all. Conner was being such a good brother comforting Carter as we left. We are so proud of them! Please pray for our babies today.”

Now they have graduated pre-kindergarten and getting ready to attend kindergarten.
